The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is set to host the聽World Forum of Accountants (WOFA) 2025 from 31 January to 2 February 2025, in New Delhi.聽聽

The event, under the theme 鈥淎ccountability Meets Innovation (AI): For A Sustainable Planet,鈥� seeks to reflect the goals of India’s Prime Minister. 

This encompasses development, economic growth, social progress, environmental sustainability, and good governance. 

The WOFA 2025 is expected to be attended by more than 8,000 national and international delegates. 

This includes members from academicians, business leaders, commerce groups, economists, firms, international accounting organisations, policymakers, regulators, standard setters, and global leaders from the accountancy profession.聽聽

The forum will be inaugurated by the Minister of Defence, Shri Rajnath Singh, as the chief guest on 31 January 2025.

The three-day convention will feature more than 40 sessions, with more than 150 speakers addressing various topics. 

These topics will vary from聽India’s banking sector, the rise of the digital economy, integrating ESG metrics into financial statements, navigating the AI era and insights into the Union Budget 2025, to the evolution of alternative dispute resolution in India.聽聽

The event鈥檚 agenda includes panel discussions, technical sessions, and expert talks.  

ICAI president Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal said: 鈥淎s the global financial landscape continues to undergo rapid transformation, WOFA 2025 serves as an essential platform for learning, sharing best practices, and fostering collaborations that will help shape the future of the financial sector.

The event will also host an awards ceremony to recognise the contributions of ICAI鈥檚 regional councils, branches, overseas chapters, and top-ranking professionals.
